Wink French top

I am in the process of selecting a 48" cook top by Wolf. They offer a French top. I also want the grill. If I get the French top I will only have to regular burners. I don't know very much about the French top and don't know if it is worth getting for home use. Any information about this would be helpful.
Thank You.

For day to day home use, a French-top probably wouldn't be your best choice. It takes awhile to heat up and you have to figure out what to set the burners (there are two circular burners underneath the cooktop, one inside of the other) at to give you different temperature zones on the surface. Cleaning the top is a pain, also. They're great for dishes that call for simmering or if you regularly cook things in large pots. Frankly, I'm surprised that they even offer it on their residential stoves.
