Default Pants for women

OK Ladies....

I'm starting a new job in two weeks...I am rather unfond of the collection of check pants I have in teh closet from school. I've never liked the fit on them - maybe because I'm a typical woman with small waist and bigger hips.

I'd like to get some new pants but looking at a few of the sites it looks like chefs pants are always unisex? Are there pants cut for women? Have you found any brands/styles you've found particularly comfortable? I don't want anything overly baggy and but would like a decent fit in the waist and hip...

As always thanks for any help your experience can offer.

I personally don't like the baggy look, so I go with the straight leg style from Chefwear. I also use carpenter jeans from Gap or Old Navy---looks hip and very comfy.

Thanks angrychef...I'll take a look at both the chefwear and the Old navy pants you're suggesting!

Ziggy, if you can't find something 'off the rack' that pleases you and fits, then buy something to accomodate the widest part and have the rest taken in. It will be worth the extra cost - if you're on a new job you need to be comfortable in body and mind.

Good luck in the new job.
