Post Anyone who needed aid/loans post-bac?

I am not that far out of my bachelor's degree and most definitely will need help in financing my education. (Already have Fed Loans) Is there anyone out there who needed help post-bac? How did you get it? Are the schools able to help people like me? Its one thing to go for a Master's or Ph.D after, but to go for an Associate's after a bachelor's, I am just worried about that.

Why don't you finish what you started first, and then get started in getting your degree in culinary arts. Although you may not know this, but your in a very good position having a bachelor's. Don't you know how far you can go, having that under your belt.

I'm in the first stages of financial aid for culinary school. I have a BS and plenty of student loans (about $16k if I include the wife's teaching credential). I'll be turning in my fiancial aid paperwork soon after my tax stuff is done. I will keep my financial aid ongoings posted on the "Day in the Life..." column under Cheftalk's Education Center section so that you can see what I found out. I'm not too optimistic about my chances for free $, planning on getting more loans (woo hoo!). I should add that I'm not sure whether my bleak chances for $ are based on the fact that my income has been decent the last few years, that I have a BS or a combo of both.

As I find more info about financial aid I will post it. And finish your BS!

I also have previous degrees (m.a and b.a) and decided to attend culinary school for an associates. I did find it a bit difficult to find scholarships that I qualified for because of my age and my other degrees. I am too old for many scholarships, but too young for those returning to school ones. I did however apply for everything that had gpa requirements or anything else that I thought there was even a slight possiblity of getting. Yes, I even applied for some that were looking for people right out of highschool, but I was honest about my previous degrees, age, etc. and by the time school started I had received roughly about $3-4,000 in scholarship money. Although this was not what I expected I was determined to begin culinary school even if it meant I would be working 3 jobs to pay for it. By the time october rolled around I received about $3,000 more leaving me only with having to pay for housing.

In other words apply for all that you can regardless of your other degrees because something will reach you.

Do you happen to remember any of the scholarship programs that granted you money? I searched a few pages today and I saw a lot for HS seniors (which I will now apply for) but they were for specific states, specific counties, specific HS's, etc. thanks
