i am new to this website and i have found it excellent. i would like some help in choosing a good culinary school. i live in central NJ and the only closest location that i have for culinary school would be Philladelphia. So, if anyone knows of any good Philly schools please let me know. my next question is "Is an AA degree better than getting a Dipolma or Certificate?" "Why?" ------------------ Fredrick P.

Hi there! If you are in Central NJ, why not look in NYC. There is pretty good train access from most points in the Garden State. I have been taking recreational classes @Peter Kumps NY Cooking School. They have a well repected Professional Division as well. I love the atmosphere. The instructors, who work in both the rec and pro depts., are great. They have a 9 month program followed by an externship. If you want more info let me know. Kyle

Give Linda Simon a call. Her # is 212-847-0700 ext.278. She can arrange for you to come in for a tour and learn more about the program. Peter Kump's is located @50 W.23rd Street in Manhattan. Kyle
