differencesin schools

hello I applied to different schools and 2 of them are the art institute in denver and j&w in norfolk, both programs look almost identical. So I was wondering if any one has been to either or has work with grads for either and if so what is the differce. I,ve had a passion for cooking and foods since I was young and after spending 4 yrs in the military I know I was born for this field and this is a cruical desicion and of course make a good one so any info would be awesome thanks

Uumhumm,

If you feel the programs you are applying to are essentially equal, then I think you need to find the location that speaks to you the most. Have you visited both campuses? Does one have an atmosphere that appeals to you more than the other? Don't forget to consider climate, proximity to family, significant others, what have you that could effect your mental well-being and happiness.

Good luck and welcome to ChefTalk!

Greetings uumhumm -
I agree with lynne about being sure your choice 'speaks to you'. Make sure you know/can find out about the 'less than perfect' qualities every school has before you spend your money and time. Only you can decide if those 'quirks' are tolerable or 'justified'. I didn't ask some very important questions when I visited the culinary school I eventually went to, and found out later that they were significantly misrepresenting what they 'taught'. I learned the 'hard way' - I hope you don't. Good luck!
