Question Wondering where to go?

I am currently enrolled in culinary school. It may seem to early to start looking, but I have an externship in about a year. I am tring to find out about cities that have a good food service industry. I would like advice on what cities I should look into. Any information would be appreciated.
Thank you for your time.

My first and foremost suggestion to you would be New York City the "culinary mecca." I went to culinary school there as well as lived there for 3 yrs. I think it is the best eating city in the U.S. There are an endless number of restaurants for any and all types of cuisines. There are numerous oppurtunities to cook with chefs at all cooking levels-from basic cooking, to specialized, to top chefs. Food jobs are always available but keep in mind that competition is fierce, especially with the top chefs. GOOD LUCK!
