Exclamation Qualification?

What type of course is best to become a Qualified Chef? I am not sure which course to take. There are many different programs such as Certificates in Cookery 1-4, Hospitality Degree Programs, Advanced Food and Beverage. What are the differences between these programs and which is the shortest route to becoming a Qualified Chef?

Thumbs up

triple b,

contact the ACF ( american culinary federation) they can give you the criteria for becoming a certified chef. there are many levels and most depend upon years of experiance and education, show work and management experiance.
Becoming a chef does not come form a school or out of a bottle.
good luck.

Cool

The shortest route to becoming a Chef? There is no short route. School can help your career get jump started but that is about it. It takes years of hard work and dedication to become a chef. Any school or program that tells you that you will be a chef after taking their classes is full of *&%^. Read the posts throughout the rest of this bulletin board. It will give you an idea of what it takes to become a chef. None of these routes is quick.
