| I would like to know whether there are any good vegetarian cooking schools? (meaning the coursework is entirely vegetarian) or if not, which schools are vegetarian-friendly (meaning, they specialize in teaching vegetarian cooking techniques, even if some coursework involves meat) thanks, aspiring vegetarian chef |

| Check in Vegetarian Times and Vegetarian Life. They often promote vegetarian cooking classes; some of which are good towards school/continuing ed credit (or they were several years ago. I went through the first half of culinary school following a vegetarian diet; most of the chef instructors were pretty cool about it. But, I was the one who made the decision to try all the dishes and cuisines not so vegetarian friendly -- I felt like I was missing too much and unless I was willing to focus on the vegetarian consumer I didn't feel it was a good decision for me being in the kitchen or my customer in the dining room to only have half the experience.
