Angry moving to the CIA

Calling all students!!!!

I am moving to Hyde Park in May from California. I need all the help I can get at minimizing the amount I have ship across country. This is turning out to be very costly. The cost to ship my car is nearly a $1000. Should I bring a computer?

Also, I'd love to hear the real scoop about the dorms. I guess during the snow season it can be a benefit!

I'd also like some tips on surviving the CIA.

Thank you in advance.

Well there are a lot of things to consider about the dorms. How old are you? Are you coming straight from high school or have you been on your own for awhile? The dorms offer a built in community but also lots of distractions. Can you drive your car across? I don't think the expenses incurred would be a thousand. Are you going to be working part time off campus? There are jobs to get on campus,(ie:Library, faculty dining rooms, bookstore) Not alot per hour but it helps get through the lean times. What are rents like in Hyde Park compared to dorm rates? I graduated from there in '91 so I have some memories or feedback if you have any more questions.
