International Association of Culinary Professionals Launches Emerging Professional Member Category
The International Association of Culinary Professionals (IACP) recently launched a new Emerging Professional member category for culinary students and career changers just entering the food industry. IACP is a non-profit organization that was founded 30 years ago by a small group of cooking school teachers in the US. Today, the IACP tops 3,500 members from 35 countries, all of whom share a common love for food.
Membership includes food writers, food scientists, food photographers and stylists, chefs, caterers, sommeliers, test kitchen professionals, cooking school owners and teachers, publishers, marketing professionals, nutritionists, food business owners, food historians, and culinary tourism professionals.
With a mission to connect the global culinary community through continuing education, professional development, and networking, the IACP is an unparalleled resource for those entering the food industry.
The cost of membership for the Emerging Professional is very affordable. For a yearly fee of $75, Emerging Professionals will receive the same networking and educational opportunities enjoyed by Professional members. In addition, they’ll get the chance to win a complimentary registration plus accommodations at the IACP Annual Conference in Denver, Colorado, in April 2009.
