Default The no confidence vote at the CIA last year.

Hi,

I just joined this forum and find that it is very informative. I am considering a career change hence I am trying to get as much information on culinary programs and costs as I can.

I'm thinking of applying to get into the CIA's Culinary Arts program in NY and have been doing some research on the internet. I have mostly found very positive sentiments on the CIA. One thing that got me a bit worried was the no confidence vote against the President last year (NYT article May 7 2008). I've not been able to find too much on how this has played out. Some of the stuff include faculty not getting along with the President, shoddy equipment, overcrowded classes, and lowering of standards. Could someone preferable a current student please tell me whether this is just something overexaggerated from an unhappy few or whether it is something more serious which should affect my choice?

Igor
