Hello all!! I have yet another question. With my new job that I will be starting soon, I will be in charge or ordering and dealing with the vendors. Right now, they order everything from one vendor....Food Service of America. I would like to start taking advantage of some farms/farmers and also some of the smaller vendors at least for produce. So I thought that I would go to goole.com and enter in "food vendor" AND Oregon but a lot of things that were non specific came up. I did find some ok leads thoug. Anyone else have any other ways of looking up vendors? And when I do find some, do I call them and ask them to fax me some info and products, etc?

One day, in the middle of summer when you're running out of handmade hamburger patties for the poolside grill, a salesman will come knocking at your door. You might want to check out the local ACF chapter or the local club chef's association if they have one. Kuan

You need to watch your food costs too. The chances are you will be paying a lot more for the local produce than from the Goliath you are using now. Jock
