| This may not be new to some of you, but today I stumbled upon a new herb (new to me) at my local greenhouse that smells incredible--can't wait to try it. It's called 'African Blue' Basil. If you are into herbs, check it out and see what you think.

| This is such a coincidence! I'm growing African Blue Basil--it's gorgeous and very hardy even this early in the season--and wondered about its culinary uses. So I posted a question on the Herb Forum over at GardenWeb. Here's a link to the resulting string: http://forums.gardenweb.com/forums/l...131866.html?10 I have cooked with it and though, as posters mentioned, it's not as sweet as traditional "sweet basil," I didn't detect the strong camphor smell/taste that others mentioned.
