Default Field Trip

I am preparing a field trip for one of my junior classes (15 students) in mid/late July. I would love to bring them into Manhattan for the day to experience first hand what I feel is the greatest food city in the world.

One of my thoughts was to tour the new Whole foods in Columbus circle, I've called the marketing person two times but have not heard back. I have also emailed the powers that be at Rockefeller's stone barn farm in Westchester county as I thought that also would be quite an experience. I did hear back and they forwarded my request to there culinary team.

So my question to all you foodie/chefs is what are some other ideas and places that you think would benefit my students? A tour of China town?Fulton's?

Any thoughts will be greatly appreciated
Brad

The Italian store on Summer or was it Spring St is incredible, the variances of seasonal olive oils, the differences in Fall and Summer Parmesan....
Bakerys?
I've heard Fulton Fish is not a great tour.
Zabars is too cool....just seeing a store with the enormous selections....
When's the trip?

See if you can get a hold of The Big Hat. He works for them and may be able to hook you up.
