Default CREATIVITY! searching for inspiration

I need to fill a space in a room for an art exhibition. I am worried because I have not come up with any ideas yet. Can anyone offer any helpful suggestions?? (p.s. anything goes, u can fill the room with anything for people to view.)

Hey oh

I am a tad confused why it is you are posting here on a cooking forum? It sounds like you want art.

http://browse.deviantart.com/

No better site for finding art and artists. Some really fab people there, some really bad ones to. Most are in between, learning and getting better. There are over 11,000,000 art submissions to the site so far, and it is currently going up at 1,000,000 submissions per month. I would Charlie Chaplin a dinner if you don't find something there.

If you mean you want food sculpture ie ice, well, nevermind........I know there is a few here that are very versed at this type of presentation.

what do u mean when u say versed at this type of presentation. I dont want to look at an art forum. Its too restricted. I am interested in what people from other walks of life would do.... cook's for example. any other ideas?

Hey oh

LOL dude, I am shakin me head. Simple, I am not a sculpter, of ice or anything else. HOWEVER, there are cooks here that are.

And if I was puting together and "art" show, I would fill my space with "art". And I would also sugest that if 11.5 MILLION works of art is too you constricted for you, then there would be preciouse little anyone else could sugest.

Also, if it was my art being shown, there is not a hope I would tollerate anything near it that could be tipped, tripped, and spilt upon it. Food belongs at the reception not the presentation.

Maybe some one else here has a different opinion..... that though is mine.

Fill the room with hams , sausages , fish and anything else that you would find in a smokehouse.

ROFL!

Or, you could try pots and pans. Throw in a few chef's hats and bundles of herbs for some color. Then proceed to the unemployment line and think about what went wrong.
