| Hi, O.K. I did something really stupid and added way too much salt to some cornbeef I have...why did I add salt -- don't ask =) Basically...I was wondering if there is any way to salvage the already cooked beef?...it's extremely salty... Thanks |

| Bring some fresh, unsalted, water to a boil. Put the corned beef into the water and simmer for 20 min. Change the water and do it again (have the second pot of fresh water ready and just move the CB from one pot to the other). The CB may be a little overcooked but will be less salty. Salt in the water was drawn into the CB. Unsalted water will draw out some of the salt in the CB. Think of it as reverse brining.

| Hey oh Another thing to try (and since I really really don't like corned beef I have no idea how this would turn out... but since you are asking.... ).......Try mincing the meat and using it as a stuffing for raviolis, or perogies. Esentially take it away from being the focal part of the food and just the seasoning/flavouring of a different type of food.
