| I did a quick search in the archives and need a bit of direction to find the thread. My question is when can you publish a recipe (I have a blog and try tons of recipes, from magazines and the internet) I have no problem quoting where the recipe is from. I just want to be PC and respectful. Thanks for the help. |

| http://www.copyright.gov/help/faq/fa...ct.html#recipe This will give you good info about recipes and copyright law. I can't find the thread either, but I know there is one. ![]()

| I can only point you to the US copyright rules. I assume that they are in accordance with the Berne Convention and that Italy is also in compliance with Berne. http://www.copyright.gov/help/faq/fa...ct.html#recipe individual recipes can't be copyrighted generally. There are exceptions. If you use many recipes from the same source, you can infringe on the copyrightable collection of the source. Defending any allegation in court is expensive even if you win. I'm no lawyer, good luck. Phil |
