 Years and years ago when we used to eat at the Middle Eastern restaurants on Atlantic Avenue, I always wondered what the "Glassage Sauce" was. It wasn't until I went to restaurant school that I learned about glaçage.  And don't get me started on Chinese menus, not even the one with my favorite spicy sting beans!
