How old is an Orange before we would eat it? i.e the age it is when it makes its way to the kitchens we work in or the local shops we shop in, I have looked on the web for a good hour or 2 and can't seem to find any info on it... If anyone knows that would be great, kinda been bugging me for a few days now, and a few people at my work... lol
Man questions like this drive me batty...(luckily I know this answer)
If you were to take a seeding it would take 4-5 years for your tree to be mature enough to be able to provide fruit....the first year of bearing is called the nursery stage and the fruit for the most part is not recommended although edible...
After the nursery stage, the fruit usually takes between 70-90 days to be mature enough for consumption...
Hope that answers your question....I do that to myself all the time....
