| I've looked at recipies on the net but I need someone who has actually don this or who has cooked a pig inb the ground to give me some advise. We are being overrun with wild pigs and I thought I might make lemonaid. |

| Jebottoms, this link Whole Hog?! is a place to start. But we have many new members since this thread began. Perhaps there's more to tell. Also, your pigs are wild, which may mean different preparation and cooking method. I had to chuckle: lemonade from pigs??!! But I get your drift!

| Wild Pigs (boar) can be kind of nasty meat with parasites, etc. I have a friend down south who traps them and pens them for about 3 to 4 months and feeds them good grain and CLEAN water and they come out much better than the true "wild" animals. this is true with more "game" animals than you think, for example Turkey, Deer, squrell, etc.

| ^^^ unfortunately it also removes all of the flavour from the meat. game should taste like game, not like all the other pork you can buy at the supermarket.

| Not necessarly true, it depends how much you domesticate the animals.
