Default Pairing salads with entrees

My brother can not eat greens or cabbage. I am serving Shrimp Creole and would like a suggestion for an alternate salad. Thanks.

How about just tossing some incredibly fresh seasonable vegetables (carrot, mini squash, radish, spring onion, etc.) with a light coating of olive oil and a little bit of salt and pepper.

Default Green veggies at all or just leaf?

What about grated cuke, brocolli, cauliflower, scallion, onion, zuchinni, asparagus...bean and rice...

Make a slaw out of any combo and toss with a light dressing of choice.

With a creole I'd choose an oil and vinegar type. Not Italian. Olive oil, garlic, cayenne, Emeril's 'bam' type spices.

Radish-apple slaw with horseradish, nummy! Cauli and broccoli slaw would be my second choice.
