| i was just looking for information on cooking courses and schools. i found 2 professional culinary institutes and 1 local college offering similar program. any ideas for me. i am a family man in the auto trade and i want to get out before it kills me. so education would be part time. well, what i ideally want to do is own a breakfast and lunch shop. thanks ![]() |

| Hello Aspeedemon, and welcome to cheftalk! Well I don't know about the schools in your area, but hopefully some of are friends from Canada can help you out on this one. Here in Texas, I attend a local Community College which offers part-time classes during the day and the evening also. Hope you find what your looking for. | Hi Aspeedemon, there are courses offered at Camosun College in Victoria, Vancouver Community College, UCC in Kamloops, and at OUC in Kelowna. I'm a little biased about the programs in Kamloops & Kelowna though, because I did my one year cooking program at UCC and my apprenticeship in Kelowna.
