Default Side dish help plz=)

Hi all=) I am attending a church picnic this weekend. It is my first time at a church picnic and I really would like to bring a side dish that will knock their socks off. I have been looking through your forums for quite awhile and I know that their are some wonderful chefs with some wonderful recipes out there=) The picnic will be held at a local beach and the weather is quite warm here right now so I don't know how much that will play in my options. They will be serving grilled hamburgers and hot dogs that day. I thank you in advance for all your wonderful ideas. Bakerlady29

Dude. You Should Up there Burgers Hard Core.

A Burger With Cafe de Paris Butter, with Caramelized onions and Red Pepper Mayo. you could walk in there and be like " HEY HEY! look at my burgers. you be scorin alll the women.

But on a serious note Here

Do something really Basic like Tomato And Boccocini Plater with Balsamic Reduction and maybe like a little drizzle of Basil Oil

Or Tomato Provecal
Just Cut the top off each Roma Tomato and stuff them with .... Wait i have think...
k Saute you shallots and garlic, place in a side bowl add bread crumbs, Chop Basil salt & pepper, olive oil mix tiogether. It's even better to blend it
Then just stuff your tomatoes and ganishs with chives or something. you could make like 2 dozen and serve them

Anyway im getting board of typing. Just make them like Gazpachio if it's a hot day. It's a super soup for hot days....

LOL: I keep hearing Aerosmith singing ..."Dude looks like a lady..."after reading your reply quoted above to Bakerlady29's post.

For a picnic, I would consider making a bunch of lasagna noodles, shock them in cold water, dry them off, make some fresh basil pesto and use real pinenuts, spread the pesto on the noodles, roll them up, stick toothpicks into them every couple of inches or so, and then slice them. On a hot summer day at the beach, the cooling pesto "roll-ups" will be a BIG hit!

Here you go: http://www.cheftalk.com/forums/showt...t=Susan+Chupps

I went to the top of the page, used "Search" and typed in "Susan Chupps". That's one of the results; the search tool scooped up anything that had "susan" in it.
