| Looking to buy a new gas grill for the patio. Would like to do some rotisserie chicken and roast, ie prime rib. The upper end grills I am looking at offer a 12000 btu dedicated rotisserie burner. Your thoughts would be appreciated. I always did rotisserie on the main grill. Is this dedicated rotisserie burner worth the extra cost? |

| I have a Weber Genesis (it's about 8 years old). I make chickens and, once, a beef roast. Unless you need a lot of grill space while you're using the rotisserie, I don't think it's worth it. But I'd be interested to hear other people's take on this question, too.

| I think its worth it.. I bought a new grill last year with the dedicated rotisserie burner and would never be without it.. No flare ups to worry about, you can put a pan on the bottom of the grill for any liquids (read beer into that) to add flavour. I find it does an awesome prime ribDave |

| Thanks Dave. Just wondered if you used the other burners (I'll have 4) or does the rotisserie burner do it all. That's only 12000 btu. I hope the weber manual will give me some tips. I want do start off with whole chicken and maybe some prime rib. Rick |
