| I am cooking rib roast for thanksgiving. Because everyone likes their meat done differently, we decided to get 2 smaller roasts rather than one large roast. We will be cooking them in the oven at the same time, and my question is this: How long should we cook the meat for? Should we cook the roasts as if they were one large roast or base the time on the size of the individual roasts. I would think based on the smaller size, but not certain. Thanks and have a great thxgvg. |

| This thread may have some insights for you: is Cooking Two 5-rib Prime Ribs in ONE oven OK? It's worth your time and money (if you can afford the $20 or so) to get a probe thermometer/timer. I made a small 1-rib roast this week and it came out perfectly because I set it to 155 degrees so the timer went off when it reached that temperature. I let it rest 20 minutes, covered, and it was perfectly medium rare. No guesswork! I have a thermometer like this one: ![]()
