If ever had a glass container explode on the stove top, I couldn't think of a safer place than sealed up in a metal container.



Seriously though, ever have a jar break open before?
I've also got some reading up to do on canning.

No explosions; in fact the only negative result I've had so far is one jar (out of several dozen) on which the seal didn't take. I just stuck it in the fridge & used it first.

This is definitely something you want to RTFM on, though.
