Default Really good gluten-free pasta

Just wanted to recommend an amazingly good GF pasta for anyone thinking about expanding their gluten-free options for GF people.

Bi-Aglut pasta is made in Italy. I've been buying it from allergygrocery.com but if you google it, you can find several other hits as well as the manufacturer's site (in Italian) at biaglut.com .

The other good, more easily available pasta is Tinkyada. I've also heard good things about Schaar, but haven't personally tried it.

(Remember if you serve it that it has to be stored, prepared and served seperately from gluten-containing pasta.)

My husband and I served Bi-Aglut pasta with a beef stroganoff type sauce for Christmas Eve dinner. Everyone thought they were eating regular pasta and I just had a small bowl of "my" pasta. These are my in-laws and not the type of people to "just be nice." If there's something to point out, they'll point. Which is cool because when they do pay a compliment or say something nice, you know it's completely genuine.

Nancy

as to the tinkyada or trader joe's pastas- i've found they need to be rinsed really well after cooking to remove excess starch. also the rice noodles found in asian stores can be substituted for fettucine or linguine, again make sure you rinse after cooking.
