| Hi gang! I froze egg whites in little containers (sets of 2 and 4) so long ago I don't remember when! Are they safe? What's the rule for frozen egg whites? ![]()

| Sure, they are safe. If you don't use them after 6 months, throw them out.

| I would have to agree with David and say three months at the outside, but I'm only a recent culinary grad. As long as they weren't thawed and refrozen, they should be okay. ![]() |

| USDA guidelines for storing frozen eggs state that they can be kept for up to one year. A good basic rule for anything is, if you don't know how long it's been there, to throw it away and make sure you label and date everything afterwards. | SIX MONTHS? I don't know, that dosen't sound right to me. I think three months would be the safest bet. I'm going to do some homework on this. momoreg, why do you say six months? I respect your stature, but I must disagree?
