| When I was very young, we ate what my father called "mixed grill". As near as I can remember it was an assortment of meats, probably fried. I'd appreciate commentary on its origin, if in fact there was such a dish, and a recipe. The time frame of my childhood was the late '30's. Chet |

| Mixed grill is grilled organ meats, kidney, liver, sweetbreads, with a chop or two. It is a dish high in fat and cholesteral but it is high in nutrients too and once in a while, say every sixty years, it's a great dish to have. Try it at a steak joint. |
