| Think of your in the same way as a saute pan. You can cook anything in it htat you like-not necessarily oriental recipes.Properly used a wok allows you to cook more quickly because of the ability to generate such high heat.The food "jumps"- thus the simlarity to sauteing.The only draw back to using it at home is that most of the wok sits on top of the flame- if you have been in a Chinese kitchen you will see that the wok needs to sit in the flame to reach the appropriate temp-if the wok is not hot enough your food steams -it doesn't stir fry- |
