Ok, so a good bold wine and keep the food relatively rich from what I can gather from everybody (beside actual menu suggestions).

I have some mulling spice...maybe I'll mull some wine and take her out to the beach after dinner.

Default Lamb...yum...

I like the Greek lamb treatment. Olive Oil, lemon, garlic, mint. Roasted root veggies, squash, yams. Rice Dolmas.

I like steamed artichoke leaf 'boats' with a warm artichoke dip in each. Been thinking about different cheeses, like blue, feta or goat. Nice finger food.

Just because she was bringing dessert doesn't mean you can't have anything sweet. Fruits and cheeses maybe? (I know it sounds hokey)

I found that you can make a basic pizza dough, form it into little mini pizzas, score it for cutting, brush with olive oil and sprinkle with cornmeal and herbs if you want. Bake until golden. It makes the BEST little toastie triangles you can imagine.

I always wondered about getting some nice large ripe strawberries, filling them with a little barvarian cream and then dipping them in chocolate. Typically really nice ripe strawberries have a cute little cavern. Kind of like a strawberry pie only without the pie part.

Or what about a fondue? Nice and very sensual.

I personally love blanched asparagus. I'm sure she won't care what your pee looks like really. However, as a finger food...? Let's not get TOO obvious shall we?

BAHAHAHAHA!

April

Sounds like the dinner, wine, flowers and after dinner entertainment is sorted.

But hey we've all forgotten something - what about the MUSIC? A little Michael Buble I should recommend....

P.S. Maybe you should also plan what's for breakfast, just in case

I have music covered, trust me on that. Before I was a culinary man, I was a music major...so THAT front is more than covered thank god.

As for breakfast... I try not to count the eggs before they hatch.

Foot-rubbing on the first date is just creepy. Just stick to good simple food.
