Can figs be frozen and what's the process if so? Are they as easy as my cranberry thing where I can just toss the cranberries into the freezer?

Think about it kind of like a strawberry. The flavor will be nice, but they will be ugly when you pull them out. It depends on what you use them for. The cell walls will break down, but they would probably make a killer jam!

I would make the tart, first, and then freeze it, rather than freezing the whole, fresh figs.
