There's a "classic" party dish in which you put a block of cream cheese in a dish, dump a jar of pepper jelly over it, and serve with sturdy crackers for people to dig in and smoosh it together on their own.
For something a bit more upscale

, use it with a nut butter such as cashew or roasted almond on a good multigrain bread for an adult PB&J. Or for something
really great, do the same and add some sliced smoked duck or turkey or chicken. I ate something like this several years ago at Bayona (one of Susan Spicer's restaurants in New Orleans) and have never forgotten it, it was THAT GOOD!
