Veggies & Blue Cheese

Any suggestions on what veggies would go well with blue cheese in a quiche?

Broccoli, leek, onion, asparagus, tomato (fruit?). I can't think of anything that would be particularly offensive.

I make a very successful (that is, it always disappears immediately) quiche with walnuts and bleu cheese. Not really a veggie though. I tend to think of fruit going better with strong cheese - could there be a pear or apple and blue cheese quiche???

What a great idea to explore. Pears and apples are at their oeak about now. Thanks! I'd never have thought of it. Of course, blue cheese needn't be strong, although I tend to prefer full flavored blues.

Thank you, too, Anneke - you woke up my brain to some good combinations. Can't imagine why I didn't think of leeks.
