Default Soy Beans

Why can I NOT find any recipes for cooking soy beans (shelled)? I was told to soak them 12 hours then boil for 5-7 hours.....can this be correct? Do I put a in hunk of salt pork or ham bone ? I like to try new foods and am surprised tha no online food site covers this vegetable. Thanks.
