| Is there such a thing as a torilla chip that actually contains no transfat as opposed to the old zero grams per serving trick? It seems to me it ought to be possible to manufacture tortilla chips that are actually healthy. I'm eating salsa on celery and I'd rather have tortilla chips! Whoooa! When I posted this message, I saw that "tortilla chips" was automatically made into a hyperlink so I clicked on it to see what that was all about and I got the answere to my question. There is at least one source, "El Ranco Chips.com". They listed a toll free number which I called. I asked them my question and they assured me that they do not use anything hydrogenated at all. | There are quite a few that claim contain no trans fats. Google "tortilla chips no trans fat" and I'm sure you'll come up with a number of options which you can investigate further. Look for Bearitos and Garden of Eatin as possibilities, and I think Frito Lay has been eliminating trans fats in many of their chip products, notably Tostitos. I'm just mentioning these from memory ... shel |
