Default roasted red pepper

i have a recipe that asks for 1/8 c. of roasted red pepper. Where can i find this in the store without prepairing a pepper myself? It is used for a party dip.
Thanks,
Brian

I am able to get it at our local Italian market in bulk, or at the grocery in small amounts

My grocer stocks them a couple of places. Over with the Italian specialty goods next to the pasta. And next to the pickles.

Yup, It's usually by the pickles and olives. If you have a super Wal-Mart, they will have it for sure. Just freeze the excess - it doesn't keep for too long , once opened, in the fridge.

It's so simple to do yourself though, have you really not got the time to do it? And the flavour will be far better. Go on you lazy git, roast one off!!!

Any Whole Foods has them in bulk, so you can get just the amount you need.

Not seen 'em in bulk at the WF here ... Perhaps a second look is in order.
