Default Crock

I purchased a vegetable crock and bread crock to go with some canisters I purchased. Now my question...I have no idea how to use these. The little bit I've found on the bread crock, I'm assuming you can actually cook bread right in them, but I'm not totally sure on this. The vegetable crock I had assumed was for making fermented vegetables but it is quite big so I don't know if that's what it's used for or not. I am finding no information online in regards to these. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You have me stumped. I get the bread crock, but the vegetable one has me scratching my head.

Anyone?

I'm guessing the bread crock is probably used as a container for when the dough is rising.

As to the veggie crock, how big is big? It's not unusually, when making saurkraut and fermented pickles to use crocks going 5 gallons and larger.

I agree. In addition to pickling, I also use my crock To keep my fruit in for the first week when starting my jamaican rum cake As the dried fruit absorbs the rum I can easily add more rum.
