Wink Difference between a prawn and a shrimp?

News flash, I am not a chef. I would like to know what is the difference between a prawn and a shrimp?

Prawn's are large shrimp. The English call shrimp (prawn) Like they say crayfish instead of crawfish.

yum, prawns, good size, good taste and i like using u/10 prawns or shrimp to you guys.

mmmm. Nice with grilled with warmed tomato and basil salsa, or a thai style curry perhaps blackened with a nice cajun sauce remoulade.

Mixed Seafood with big prawns with a XO sauce as a stirfry is good too.

Anyway, the less you guys get to the pound (size wise or count)is more likely to be the equivalent to the old empire prawns.
