I hate to be the one to break the news, but this gentleman was not talking about the wash cycle. You can grill on the dry cycle. Heck, sometimes I throw in some hickory when I have the small trout hanging wash arm.The smoke flavor is incredible.
Lg. salmon? Spread newspaper over the table and serve the salmon right in the wash tray.
It's a good thing.

I can't imagine cooking live lobster in a dishwasher, but dishwasher fish is an old recipe. Wrap in foil with seasonings, etc, set to hot, then check the temp at the end of the cycle to make sure it's cooked. Might have to make an adjustment in your cooking time if it's not.

My dear departed MIL decided to save time for a dinner party one night and "baked" her potatoes in the dishwasher with the load of dishes she was running through...couldn't understand why they tasted off and nobody wanted to eat them....but then this was the lady that poured three bottles of wine into one because they were all from the same company...one bottle red, one white, and one other.....sigh........
