Default Melting Chocolate Bars

Hi ....

I’d like to melt and combine two chocolate bars (Dagoba Prima Materia and Dagoba Eclipse - maybe one or two others). What's the best way to melt these - microwave, over low heat, in a double boiler?
Also, once melted and cooled, will the texture of the bars change in any way?

Thanks,

Shel

Assuming these are bars of plain dark chocolate that have a snappy gloss...

I suggest using a double boiler and you will need to re-temper the chocolate by heating it to 40 degrees C, cool it to 28 then back up to 32. How to you plan to reform it into edible form?

IThese are "regular" chocolate bars, at least as far as I can tell. I don't know what you mean by a "snappy gloss."

I'bve not figured out the best way to reform the the chocolate yet - am looking about for some sort ofmold or form. Thought I'd pour the melted chocolate on tosome parchment paper in a shallow dish or bowl.
