This is fried calamari. Haven't been able to find raw yet:
CALAMARI FRITAS
(Crisp fried squid rings)
Serves: Four
Time required: 30 minutes
250 g squid
1 egg
50 g flour
50 g cornflour
salt to taste
a pinch of crushed pepper
oil for frying
CLEAN and wash the squid thoroughly. Cut squid into 1/2 cm thick ringlets. Mix egg, flour and cornflour together. Add cold water and mix to a smooth batter. The batter should be thick enough to coat the squid. Dip the squid rings into the batter and deep fry in hot oil till done, golden in colour and crisp. Remove on an absorbent paper. Serve with garlic mayonnaise.
