| Does anyone know the nutritional values for calamari? We where discussing this and no one seemed to have a clue. |

| This is fried calamari. Haven't been able to find raw yet: CALAMARI FRITAS (Crisp fried squid rings) Serves: Four Time required: 30 minutes 250 g squid 1 egg 50 g flour 50 g cornflour salt to taste a pinch of crushed pepper oil for frying CLEAN and wash the squid thoroughly. Cut squid into 1/2 cm thick ringlets. Mix egg, flour and cornflour together. Add cold water and mix to a smooth batter. The batter should be thick enough to coat the squid. Dip the squid rings into the batter and deep fry in hot oil till done, golden in colour and crisp. Remove on an absorbent paper. Serve with garlic mayonnaise. Nutritional value of each serving: Calories: 294.5 kcal Proteins: 15.2 g Fat: 17.4 g Minerals: 2.0 g Fibre: 0.46 g Carbohydrates: 19.1 g |
