Default What to do with left over chilies?

So i have a bunch of chillies laying around the house and im not really sure what to do with them. Im not even sure what kind of peppers they are they look like tabasco peppers but that cant be haha i guess I could give them a try and see how spicy they actualy are.

Anyway i want to do something different with them so if anyone has any cool ideas to use up peppers shoot them my way.

Thanks guys~~

If they are in good shape you can hang them and dry them, but what I would probably do is make my own hot sauce and can it. You can find hundreds of hot sauce recipes all over the internet. Look over a bunch of them and create your own recipe. It's a lot of fun and since you already have the chiles it won't cost you but a few dollars and some time spent canning it.

Default deseed,

and stuff them with cream cheese , throw them through an eggwash , flour and in to a tempura batter , deep fry them and eat them as a snack with plenty of cold beer to wash it down with.(and a dry towel on the side to wipe the brow with afterwards) keep the seeds and throw them in the compost heap and they should self seed and grow in toplants

Wash em' dry em' and put them in the freezer. When they thaw you can pop off the stem and squeeze out the juice for use however you like.

I use mine in a Blody Mary or Cerveza.

I like to deseed and dice them pretty fine and add them to my homemade relishes. Throw a bit on a burger, hot dog, in the salad of the week, or just in a bowl on the side for a little kick to perk up a meal.

Good call Tessa, never tried that way but want to as i'm getting brave these days.
Personal preference :- Blitz them all to a fine pulp. make a sugar syrup and cook in the chillis. Keeps in the fridge for ages. pour over icecream, add to marinades, salad dressings.
Or simply blitz and keep in the freezer for when u need them

I havnt tried it but i know somebody who has and they just loved it
your idea sounds great , chillis work well with sweet stuff too,
it just made me think you could chop some finely and add to a dark chocolate ganache then turn in to truffles, or add to a light mousse and serve with some fresh lime and sugar sauce and candied ginger for something different

Go Tessa If you try any of the above let me know how it works.
I've got some smoked dried Chipotle chillies i have no clue how to use,or how hot they are, but i buy stuff when i'm in the states as i cant get them at home and I beleive i'll use them and then they sit in the cupboard till their sell by date.
I've heard mixing fresh/dried/smoked chillies can really deliver a punch????

I have made chocolate chilli truffles before you dont want to make them too hot , but they have an interesting effect once you have swallowed , you get this nice warmth in your mouth and the chocolate tastes even more chocolatey

I do a spiced chocolate that gets a good reaction from most people with adventurous palates - I use a dark chocolate and mix in cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, and cayenne, as well as a small amount of sweetened, condensed milk for texture and to balance the spice a little. I've never tried it with fresh chilies, but I'm assuming it would be delicious!

I suffer when I run out of chipotle chiles. They are so good with meat, eggs and pizza. They're ripe red jalapenos, smoked and dried (not sure which is done first). So they're pretty hot but not as hot as some.

Eggs over easy with a little chipotle sprinkled on top (canned ones in adobo sauce are also great for this).

I sprinkle it on pizza.

Sprinkled on burgers while cooking, after they're flipped.

Chili con carne is a great candidate if it's not hot enough. It can be sprinkled on after serving.

Sometimes I even sprinkle some on mac 'n' cheese.

Dont know if you tryed this. Take all your extra chilies a little let say 2oz. about 2cups of water and .5cups white vinagar, garlic cloves and a little sea salt. Pulse with a hand blender and strain into a empty bottle.
