| Although quite long this is a nice article on the issues surrounding raw milk. "The revolution will not be pasteurized: Inside the raw-milk underground" by Nathanael Johnson (Harper's Magazine) (Anneke and Shel will probably appreciate this article) Luc H.

| Wow, great article. Thanks, Luc. I never realized how much difference there could be in milk, even from the same cow. It's as if most milk here is artificial.

| Thanks for the pointer, Luc. You knew I'd like reading the article. Raw milk is not too difficult to come by in my area ( Welcome to Organic Pastures ), and were I still drinking milk, I'd certainly purchase some every so often. In the past I enjoyed raw milk somewhat frequently. BTW, these folks will also sell you unpasteurized almonds. Remember how almonds used to be - last year <LOL> Yeti - yes. commercial milk is pretty darned close to an artificial product. The stuff even tastes different than high quality milk from the local organic dairies. scb Last edited by shel : 04-27-2008 at 06:08 PM. |

| If it weren't for that darned lactose-intolerance thing, I'd be drinking raw milk to this day. I drank it many a summer day growing up but since moving to the city and spending many more days vomiting and feeling miserable because of pasteurized milk and other dairy products, I'm questioning my ability to digest raw milk. May give it a try one day, just to give my guts a test drive.
