Default Brownies Mixes and Prepared

For a while I will be unable to cook and prepare much food, and I've a craving for a brownie recipe I saw on one of the cooking shows, in which some additions to prepared brownies are used. Is there a good (acceptable) prepared brownie mix or frozen brownies that you'd recommend? Duncan Hines has been recommended in a recent edition of Consumers Reports. Any comments on DH?

I like the Duncan Hines brownies. I bought some a few weeks ago when they were on sale for $1. The one I got had pieces of Hershey's chocolate in the mix. My family loved it. We topped them with fresh strawberries maserated in a little sugar and ice cream.

Not the healthiest dessert but a great splurge! lol

I do have a really good brownie recipe from scratch but I rarely have the chocolate chips or other flavored chips to make them.

Hersey's mix is great. Add nuts or whatever and enjoy

Default I have used both

Krusteaz and Ina Garten's "Barefoot Contessa" brands- both with satisfaction.

Default Brownies

We've found that the biggest difference between brownies from a mix and from scratch is the intensity of chocolate flavor, so if we are using a mix, we toss in with the dry ingredients a tablespoon or two of cocoa powder. Ducan Hines is fine, but we also like Ghirardelli when we can find it.
