Lightbulb Refined Sugar Substitutes

Does anyone use Organic Sucanat? Our grocery store started carrying it and I've only used it on cereal and in coffee so far. Just curious if anyone is using it to cook/bake with.

I use it when I do not have Rapadura.

Rapadura is whole organic sugar that is not processed. Sucanat is minimally processed.
Both retain the natural molasses. You can use about 3/4 to 1 cup. All the natural minerals and flavor are retained. I make incredibly tasty chocolate chip cookies with Rapadura.

Nutrition....I'll have to give it a try in baking when I get back.

Mark, as always, thanks for the info..I'll look for the other brand in our stores.

Can you post your chocolate chip recipe with Rapadura? Do you use organic chocolate chips in them? I saw the chocolate bars on the Rapunzel website.

The recipe will be in my cookbook which will hopefully come out late this year. I have been so busy personal cheffing that I do not have the time to finish writing it.

check out my webpage frequently since I do post different recipes from time to time.
