Default Egg Prices

Egg prices have risen sharply in the past few months. Prices of about $4.00 per dozen for Extra Large Grade A organic eggs seem to be about the norm. What are you paying for eggs in your area?

Local farm raised are $1.50 per dozen.

Scotts (division of Kroger) had large eggs on sale for .99 per dozen and $1.49 for 18 count. Regular price there has been running $1.69 per dozen large.

Because they're quite common in the markets here, and that's what I like to buy.

About $6 dozen (Aussie dollar almost equal to US now) That's for 700gram per dozen free range. Don't think I've seen organic eggs here

I've seen $7.50 a dozen for certified organic. I usually wait until I can find them for $5 a dozen.

I was wondering what opening market prices would be.....1 dozen $3.50, 18 eggs $4.89

Asparagus is up to $3.50 a bunch or $4.00 for tips.

not alot out right now, spinach....asparagus, lettuces, eggs, honey, bedding plants/herbs.

I paid $1.59 for a dozen jumbos yesterday. They aren't organic or anything. That's up from about $0.99 a few months ago.

I use jumbos because my egg consumption consists mostly of two egg whites for breakfast every day. I use large for baking, though. I think they were a dime cheaper this week.

The regular Kroger store brand dozen were $1.25 when I went to shopping this weekend. Sale ends tomorrow!

BTW, I got California asparagus for $1.98 per pound at Walmart.
