I have a Cuisenart. It makes a quart at a time. Very convient to use. I recomend it.

Abe, I have a recipe for a flavor that's adventurous if you're up for it: Coconut Mango Curry. I made it in my Donvier.

Default Hai

Ice cream maker is of three types. It includes an electric motor which drives either the paddle to stir the content. The vast difference between them is in how the cooling is performed.More price and a big machine have a freezing mechanism built in and doesn't need a bowl to be chilled. Some type of ice cream maker needs no pre-freezing of the appliance.

These are the one with a compressor builting, so it works basically the same way your airconditioner does to freeze the bowl.

Yes, Abe, I did. Here's the recipe:

Coconut Mango Curry Ice Cream

1 cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon sweet curry powder (or less to taste)
2 eggs, beaten
pinch of salt
1.5 cups milk
1 cup lite coconut Milk
3/4 cup shredded sweetened coconut
1 cup fresh mango, diced

Combine curry with sugar. Add to egg; whisk gently into milk, coconut milk, coconut and salt. Simmer, stirring frequently with a spoon, until the mixture coats the back of the spoon.

Freeze according to ice cream freezer manufacturer's directions. Stir the mango pieces into the ice cream. Freeze until firm, about four hours.
