Default One of my favorite simple desserts

Banana slices fried in butter is one of my favorite simple desserts. I use almost-ripe bananas and I fry them 'til they're a bit carmellized but no more than a bit.

My sis gave me something that turns out to be perfect on them--vanilla sugar from France. These are really good with ice cream too.

To make your own vanilla sugar from France...

The next time you use a fresh vanilla pod, save the pod and put it in a bottle full of sugar. Takes about two weeks to get the max out of the pod. Keep replacing pods as they get old, and sugar as you use it. Shake it up occasionally.

The French part comes from kissing your lover before and after.

Fried Bananas sounds great - kinda like the banana scallops that Richard made on Top Chef. Will have to try it.

I've made Vanilla Sugar from Queens haha. Tooke the scrapings of a vanilla pod and mixed them with 2 cups of sugar that I placed in an air tight container. Yummy stuff for my guilty pleasure - sprinkled on corn flakes.
