Default What are your work hours?

My work hours in this, my 3rd career, are 8 AM to anywhere between 3 PM and 10 PM. When it's my turn to be the on-call service tech in my job now (one week out of every 5 or so), it's 24/7, and I may have a week with no after-hours calls or days where I'm up half the night or more after doing my regular work.

When I was a line cook in a restaurant I did breakfast, lunch and dinner, but never all in one day. Those of you who aren't paid by the hour, or pay yourselves, may do things really differently.

What are your work hours?

Like many Europeans, I'm contracted to work a 37.5 hour/week. It never quite works out like that..

On a regular day - 7.30 till 2.30 actually cooking and delivering 5pm til whenever, sometimes 9pm doing paperwork, prepfor tomorrow.

When theres a big job Like yesterday - Wedding for 140 I'm up and running at 4.30am so I can chill on my own in the kitchen for a couple of hours before the others turn up We finished at 8.30pm. Great sucess by the way, but I'm knackered
